NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE SEABROOK CRIME CONTROL & PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL MEET ON TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 AT 6:00 PM IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY A MEETING OF THE SEABROOK CITY COUNCIL IN THE CITY HALL CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1700 1ST STREET, SEABROOK, TEXAS, TO DISCUSS, CONSIDER, AND IF APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW.

Four separate motions are required:  

1) "I move to approve a tax rate of $39.0106 cents per $100 valuation of assessed property for operations and maintenance";  

2) "I move to approve a tax rate of $13.4338 cents per $100 valuation of assessed property for the interest and sinking fund";  

3) "I move that the property tax rate be increased with the adoption of a tax rate of $0.52444, which is effectively a 1.45% increase in the tax rate.  THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 2.00 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-9.74"; 

4) "I move to approve Proposed Ordinance 2021-20, "Tax Ordinance" on first and final reading with the reading of the caption serving as the reading of the ordinance and requiring a record vote".
