On Monday, June 5, 2017, SafeWise released their annual 50 Safest Cities in Texas report, and Seabrook ranked No. 35. This is the third consecutive time Seabrook has ranked in top 50 of SafeWise’s report.
Overall, 80% of this year’s safest cities reported fewer than ten robberies, 96% reported fewer than five arsons, and 20% reported zero incidents of rape. To compile this report, SafeWise uses the most recent FBI crime data to analyze and rank Texas cities that have a minimum population of 10,000 people.
Ensuring that Seabrook is a “Safe and Secure City” is one of the Seabrook Police Department’s top priorities. “The devoted men and women in our department approaches public safety through community policing principles of public trust, community partnerships and services,” says Police Chief Sean Wright.
The Seabrook Police Department will continue to improve their “Safe and Secure City” initiatives each year.
