Flood Damage, Trash Pickup and Safety

If your home experienced flooding from last night's rain there a few things that we would like for you to do.

1) Complete the Storm Damage Report form on our website.
This report is designed to assist the Seabrook Office of Emergency Management in determining what areas have experienced storm damage so assessment teams can evaluate those locations after the storm has passed. DO NOT use this form to request direct assistance or disaster relief.

2) DO NOT place trash, large items or other objects/debris by the curb.
There will be NO TRASH PICKUP ON MONDAY as we are expecting to receive more rain over the next 24 to 48 hours. Placing items by the curb will create hazards or problems if we experience more flash flooding.

3) Avoid travel and DO NOT ENTER FLOOD WATER.
Several streets are still impassable. For your safety, we recommend staying put. Flood water can also contain things like rubbish, dead animals, sewage and other contaminants such as poisons. In some areas, large volumes of fast flowing water can come and go very quickly, sucking in or trapping anyone who gets close to drainage ditches. It is safer to stay clear of floodwater. It is not a place to play.

City staff will continue to monitor the storm and post updates as they become available. Updates are being posted to the seabrooktx.gov/alertcenter.
