Harvey Debris Removal Assistance

Seabrook will be activating their debris removal assistance program soon and we want you to start preparing for your storm debris and other items that need to be disposed of. We will give out the schedule and days as soon as it becomes available.

As you clean up your home from damage that may have occurred during Harvey please remember to do the following:

  • Contact your insurance company first
We highly recommend contacting your insurance agent prior to cleaning up your damage. Each agency has different guidelines for how they process claims.

  • Separate household garbage from storm debris
Items such as food, diapers and regular household waste should go in your Waste Management bin. If customers have excess trash that won't fit in the bin we ask that customers bag it and place it by your bin on the curb. Keep the debris and trash bins and bags several feet from each other.  All debris and large items must be separated from regular trash.

  • Debris should be placed between the sidewalk and the curb
Do not place debris below the curb or in the street. Do not place debris near trees, poles or other structures, it makes it difficult for removal. This includes fire hydrants and meters. If you do not have a sidewalk place the debris at the end of your property line and the curb.

  • Debris and items to be picked up include:
    -  Tree and vegetative debris
    - Construction and demolition debris
    - Appliances
    - Electronics
    - Household hazardous waste

  • DO NOT PLACE DEBRIS IN BAGS
Any debris inside bags will not be picked up.

Please remember this program is for storm debris and is set in place to help our community clean up after the storm.
