Seabrook Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

On Friday, December 15, 2017, at approximately 11:24 a.m., the Seabrook Police Department was dispatched to a robbery call at the 1400 block of State Highway 146, in Seabrook, Texas.

The victim informed officers he was traveling southbound on the highway when an unknown vehicle hit him from behind.   The two vehicles then pulled into the parking lot of a local store on SH 146. According to the victim, when he suggested to the other driver that they call the police and began walking towards the store to do so, the suspect driver assaulted him, held him down against a concrete pylon and then took his wallet.

The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle moving northbound on SH 146. A witness to the robbery called 911 and reported the incident. Seabrook officers on patrol quickly located the suspect’s vehicle traveling on SH 146 and when officers attempted to stop the suspect he refused, evading officers in his vehicle. The suspect ending up crashing his vehicle at the 4800 block of Todville and then proceeded to evade officers on foot, however, Seabrook officers were able to apprehend the suspect.

The suspect has been arrested and identified by his Missouri driver’s license as 29-year-old Eric White, a black male. White was taken into custody without incident and has been charged by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office with robbery and evading arrest.

The case is now under investigation by detectives with the Seabrook Police Department.
