On June 25, 2018, the City of Seabrook began a street paving project on Brookwood Court in Seabrook. The project consists of removing the existing concrete pavement and then replacing with new concrete pavement and gutters. The project area will run from the intersection of North Meyer to the end of Brookwood Court. Residents will be provided access to and from their homes until the construction is complete. Construction is estimated to be substantially complete by August 31, 2018, weather permitting.
Beginning on July 2, 2018, the City of Seabrook will begin a street repair project at the entrance of Lakepointe Forest Subdivision. Due to substantial subgrade issues in two street panels on Lakepointe Forest Drive, sections of this road will have to be removed and replaced. This project will be limited to 100 feet of the street, and access will be restricted exiting northbound onto Red Bluff. All traffic will be routed to exit on Lakeside Drive throughout the project. Construction along Lakepoint Forest Drive is estimated to be substantially complete by August 3, 2018, weather permitting.
Residents who live along a construction site should:
Remove personal property near the street (pavers, landscaping, etc.).
Remove items of importance in the right-of-way that you do not want to be damaged.
Be aware that any irrigation lines that fall within the limits of construction will be capped off.
Be aware, that if necessary, mailboxes may be temporarily relocated in order to provide easy access for postal services.
Be aware that you will be notified 24 hours before direct access is restricted to your driveway. Estimated access restrictions will take approximately 24-hours.
The Brookwood Court street improvement project is a part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The contractor awarded the bid for these projects is RAC Industries, LLC. These are short-term projects that will create better streets for Seabrook. Please observe and obey all traffic signs and construction personnel during this construction period.
