The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) has named Seabrook House of Flowers as the 2020 Seabrook Business of the Year. Seabrook House of Flowers located at 2900 E. NASA Parkway Suite #290 in Seabrook, has been in business for about 54 years and the current owner, Rachel Niese, purchased the business in March 2013 from Jane Adams.
Seabrook House of Flowers offers all types of floral arrangements, plants, balloons, home decor, and various gift items. Most items and arrangements may be viewed by browsing their website at www.seabrookflowershop.com; however, Rachel and her team can provide customers with custom arrangements based on the occasion and their personal preferences.
Currently, the Seabrook House of Flowers has various holiday arrangements and decor, including custom made Christmas wreaths and one-of-a-kind tree ornaments. In addition to Christmas items, Rachel offers products for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, sympathy/funerals, encouragement/get-well, births, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Valentine's Day and much more. Silk arrangements can be customized for outdoor use around the home or for memorials and gravesites.
Delivery services are available in Seabrook, El Lago, Taylor Lake Village, Kemah, Bacliff, League City, Nassau Bay, Pasadena, La Porte, Baytown, Dickinson, La Marque, Galveston, Clear Lake and portions of Houston northbound towards the Beltway.
Seabrook House of Flowers has seen a decrease in day-to-day business due to the COVID-19 pandemic while also seeing a heartbreaking increase for altarpieces and hospital deliveries due to widespread illness. Over the past several weeks, sales and business have started to increase again; however, not to the level it was pre-COVID. In May 2020 Seabrook House of Flowers received an SEDC Emergency Business Retention Incentive to help offset loss profits from the pandemic.
"Being awarded Seabrook Business of the Year is such an incredible honor, not just for me, but for my entire staff," said Rachel. "My business is my soul, my pride and my passion and our reviews let us know that all the hard work is recognized, so being selected for this honor by a city panel means the word of our work is out and folks are hearing it."
Orders can be made directly through the website at www.seabrookflowershop.com, by phone or by stopping by the store. If you do stop in, be sure to check out their selection of custom wreaths, jewelry, gifts and much more. Shop local and support Seabrook businesses this holiday season.
