Life Saving Awards
Brad Goudie, Director of Emergency Services, recognized Dispatcher Nadine Khan, Dispatcher William Walker, Seabrook PD Sgt. Jason Smith, Seabrook PD Officers Jason Emerson, Alberto Alarcon, Alejandra Hernandez, Emmanuel Garcia, Seabrook Volunteer Fire Chief Andrew Gutacker, and Seabrook Volunteer Firefighter Madelyn Gutacker for responding to a call that resulted in the saving of a life.
Winter Storm Uri
Gayle Cook, City Manager, recognized O'Reilly Auto Parts, Autozone, CCISD, DXI and Poolsure for partnership with and support of the City of Seabrook during Winter Storm Uri. Ms. Cook also recognized the various City of Seabrook departments and employees who were instrumental in working round the clock to keep people and property as safe as possible during the storm event.
Open Space and Trails Committee Quarter Report
Helen Burton, Chair of the Open Space and Trails Committee, updated the City Council on the tenth (10th) year of tree plantings in Seabrook parks, the Seabrook Leaf Initiative, progress on the Edible Forest sponsored by Evelyn Meador Library, the Seabrook Prairie, Christmas tree recycling, waterway conservation efforts, the 2020 Governor’s Community Achievement Award, and volunteer hours. 2020 Christmas Boat Lane Parade Post Event Report

Interlocal Agreement – Air Monitoring Equipment
City Council unanimously approved an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Seabrook and Harris County for placement of air monitoring equipment in Friendship Park for a four year term.
Repair of Water Well #1
By unanimous vote, Council approved an estimate proposal for maintenance repairs from Alsay Incorporated for the repair of Water Well #1 under the contract for inspection, assessment, and repair awarded on June 2, 2020 by Council for Project 2020-03-324, in an amount not to exceed $85,590.00.
Joint Participation Agreement – Drainage Project – Baybrook and Seascape Subdivisions
City Council unanimously approved a Joint Participation Agreement between the City of Seabrook and Harris County for drainage facilities project in Baybrook and Seascape Subdivisions as part of the 2018 Harris County and Harris County Flood Control District Bond Program with a 50% match from the City in the amount of $1,069,699.48.
UPDATES
MAY 1, 2021 General Election
Robin Lenio, City Secretary, informed Council that the filing period for a place on the ballot ended on February 12 and there are 8 candidates running for election in May. Early Voting begins April 19 and Election Day is May 1, 2021 from 7:00am – 7:00pm. For more information please visit the City’s Election Page at www.seabrooktx.gov/elections.

FUTURE MEETING DATES AND AGENDA ITEMS
A regular City Council meeting will be held by teleconference on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 6:00pm.
Beginning March 24, 2021, Seabrook Public Meetings will be held in person at the location indicated on the notice/agenda for each meeting.
