On Saturday, March 20, 2021, at approximately 1:39 p.m., the Seabrook Police Department was dispatched to a domestic violence call in the Seascape subdivision in Seabrook, Texas.
Upon arrival, a female believed to be the wife of the report-victim exited the home armed with a rifle. The suspect discharged her weapon twice and a Seabrook police officer discharged his firearm in the performance of his duties, striking the female suspect. Officers immediately rendered aid after the suspect was struck.
The female suspect has been transported to a local hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time. The officers on the scene were not injured. The scene has been secured allowing the investigation to take place. There is no threat to the community.
The Seabrook Police with the assistance of the Texas Rangers have launched a full investigation. The Harris County District Attorney will also be investigating the incident.
The identification of the officer and the suspect are not being released pending notification to their families. The investigation is active and ongoing.
