Building
The Building Department reviews plans, inspects construction and issues permits for all development in the City of Seabrook. This department also works with all permits such as fill, demolition and signs.
 
Work requiring permits cannot start until the permit is issued by the Building Department. Permit applications must be reviewed and approved by department staff and all fees are calculated at that time. We accept MasterCard and Visa payments for building permits and registrations.

Permits
The Building Department issues permits for the following:
  • Air conditioning unit and water heater replacements
  • Building demolition
  • Commercial business construction
  • Driveway or patio extensions
  • Electrical reconnections, if meter has been removed
  • Fill permits
  • Foundation repairs and re-adjustments
  • Gas reconnections
  • House construction
  • House or building moves
  • New roofs or roof repairs
  • Patio covers, porches and sun rooms
  • Permanent and temporary signs
  • Swimming pools, including hot tubs and spas over 24 inches deep
  • Trade work - electrical, plumbing, HVAC
  • Tree removal
  • Others
