Residential Garbage Service
Residential collection is provided by Waste Management who partners with the City of Seabrook to provide waste collection, disposal, and recycling. Residential collection requires the use of a 90 gallon Polycart, not to exceed a total weight of 175 lbs. or bags, not to exceed a total weight of 40 lbs. Polycart provided by Waste Management.

Pickup Days
Curbside pickup is offered twice per week. Garbage must be at curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled day. Pick up days are either Monday / Thursday or Tuesday / Friday.
 
 
Yard Trimmings
Yard trimmings will be picked up on your SECOND SCHEDULED DAY. Trimmings must be cut to a length not to exceed 4 feet, no more than 6 inches in diameter, 50lbs. in weight and not to exceed two (2) cubic yards per week, either loose or placed in bundles.

Bulk Trash
Bulk trash consists of appliances, furniture, mattresses, carpets, (cut in 4 foot lengths) lawn mowers, etc. You are allowed 2 extra items to be picked up also on your SECOND SCHEDULED DAY which can be lifted by 2 persons. Items that are too heavy or bulky to be handled without special equipment will not be picked up. Appliances that contain refrigerant must be drained and tagged by a certified refrigerant recycler prior to disposal. 

Items Not Accepted
Unacceptable items include:
    
  • Batteries
  • Pesticides
  • Tree trunks
  • Heavy metal
  • Light  bulbs
     
  • Oiled-based paint
  • Tires
  • Construction debris
  • Scrap iron
  • Polystyrene foam
     

     
Recycling
Your recycling day is on Wednesday if you live west of Highway 146 or Thursday if you live east of Highway 146. Acceptable items:
  • Juice boxes
  • Glass (clear, brown, green)
  • Tin/Steel/Aluminum cans
  • Paper board
  • Magazines
  • Aluminum cans
  • Card board 12" x 12"
  • Newspaper
  • Junk mail (do not recycle bills or other secure mail)
  • Plastic (all codes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
All tin cans, glass containers, and aluminum cans must be rinsed and empty. All plastic containers must be rinsed and empty, with caps removed. 
          
Holidays
Normal service will not be provided on recognized holidays, but will be resumed on your next scheduled pickup day. This includes New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If recycling pickup falls on these days, recycling will be skipped that week and resume the following week.
