Melissa Botkin is a Career and Technical Education Workforce Liaison in Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. She builds partnerships with colleges, and business and industry leaders along the Gulf Coast Region to expose students to a plethora of career related opportunities, designed to ensure students are college and career ready.
Melissa attends the University of Houston-Clear Lake and will graduate this fall with a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Superintendent Certificate. She strongly believes in giving back to the community, serving with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Good Herdsman and Livestock Committees, University of Houston-Clear Lake Doctoral Program Advisory Committee and Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Educators.
Melissa previously served as a member of the city’s Volunteer Fire Department, Seabrook Association, Events Committee, and currently works with the Kid Fish Committee, and is a Chairperson for the annual Seabrook Saltwater Derby held in Seabrook. Melissa is co-owner of Botkin Seafood Company, and a proud fourth generation resident who lives in the Old Seabrook Historic District.
