Pet Licensing & Permits

All dogs and cats that are over 4 months of age must be registered with the city. All licenses expire on December 31 and must be renewed annually.

Animals can be registered at City Hall Customer Service by providing proof of current rabies vaccination. You will be issued a metal tag, which must be attached to your pet’s collar. If the tag is lost, a replacement may be obtained for a $1.00 fee.

Failure to register your pet with the city may result in a citation and fine.

City License Fee is $10.00

If an animal is spayed or neutered the license is free of charge. Documentation is needed to prove procedure.

  • All dogs and cats in the City of Seabrook are required to be vaccinated against rabies. Wild animals such as skunks, bats, raccoons, foxes, and coyotes are the most common carriers of rabies. Wild animals may infect household pets with rabies; therefore, care must be taken to avoid situations where your pet and a wild animal may come in contact.
