NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE SEABROOK CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET ON TUESDAY MAY 11, 2021 AT 7:00 PM IN THE CITY HALL CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1700 1ST STREET, SEABROOK, TEXAS, TO DISCUSS, CONSIDER, AND IF APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW.

THIS FACILITY IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE AND ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES ARE AVAILABLE. REQUESTS FOR OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS OR INTERPRETIVE SERVICES, MUST BE MADE, 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THIS MEETING. NEW BUSINESS


4.1   Consider and take all appropriate action on proposed Resolution 2021-08, "Canvass of the City of Seabrook General Election held on May 1, 2021".   City Council

A RESOLUTION AND ORDER CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CITY OFFICERS' REGULAR ELECTION HELD ON MAY 1, 2021

4.2   Administer the Oaths of Office, present Certificates of Election, and hear remarks by Newly Elected Council Members.  Immediately following, Council will adjourn the meeting for a brief reception to honor the outgoing and welcome the incoming Council Members.   Judge Dick Gregg, III, Presiding Municipal Court Judge

4.3   Consider and take all appropriate action on the reappointment of Dick H. Gregg, III, as the Presiding Judge of the Seabrook Municipal Court of Record, for a four year term to expire on June 7, 2025.  City Council   

4.4   Consider and take all appropriate action on the 2021 Celebration Seabrook budget to fund event expenditures that exceed the amount of revenue generated by the event, in an amount not to exceed $55,000.00 from the FY2020/21 Hotel Occupancy Tax fund.   LeaAnn Petersen, Director of Community & Visitor Relations

ROUTINE BUSINESS


5.1   Update and report on various items that require no action, including SH 146 Expansion Project, City of Seabrook CIP Projects, City of Seabrook Grant Administration, and 2021 State Legislative Session.  Gayle Cook, City Manager and Robin Lenio, City Secretary

5.2   Update and discuss report by City Manager on COVID related issues.  Gayle Cook, City Manager and Brad Goudie, Director of Emergency Services

5.3   Establish future meeting dates and agenda items.  City Council

THE CITY COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO HEAR ANY OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED AGENDA ITEMS THAT QUALIFY FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION IN AN EXECUTIVE SESSION BY PUBLICLY ANNOUNCING THE APPLICABLE SECTION NUMBER OF THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT, (CHAPTER 551 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE) THAT JUSTIFIES EXECUTIVE SESSION TREATMENT.
