The Seabrook Police Department hires officers through the Civil Service Act. Police officers work varied hours depending on job responsibilities.
Each summer the City of Seabrook hires life guards and variety other positions to help maintain and run the city swimming pool.

City Hall will be closed for the holiday.
City Council, boards, commissions and committee meeting times and details. Not all meetings will be posted here. Official posting of public meetings must be posted 72 hours prior to the meeting and will be listed at: http://seabrooktx.gov/AgendaCenter/.
Board of Adjustment
The board meets in order to hear variance requests and special exceptions to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, the Flood Ordinance and the Building Codes.
Building and Standards Commission
This board consists of five (5) citizen members and up to two (2) alternate members, who meet during the evening as needed to hear cases and determine if a property poses a threat to the welfare of the general public and is a nuisance.
Charter Review Commission
City Council meetings are held at City Hall at 1700 First Street on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
Civil Service Commission
The purpose of the Civil Service Act is to secure an efficient department composed of capable personnel who are free from political influence and who have an expectation of permanent employment tenure as public servants.
The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation meets on the 2nd Tuesday each month at Seabrook City Hall, 1700 First Street.
Ethics Review Commission
The purpose of the Ethics Review Commission is to make recommendations to City Council regarding the appropriate disposition of allegations of violations against the ethics ordinance.
Fair Housing Activity Statement Work Group
The Fair Housing Work Group meets to ensure the FHAST form can be reviewed and finalized for submission to the General Land Office.
Master Plan Review Commission
Open Space and Trails Committee
The Open Space and Trails Committee was formed in 2009, with the primary purpose of beautifying and preserving the city’s natural resources.
Planning and Zoning Commission
The commission reviews the city’s zoning ordinance and subdivision ordinance and makes recommendations to City Council.
Periodically public notices will be posted prior to meetings or various or other gatherings.
Public Safety Committee
The Public Safety Committee serves Seabrook and surrounding communities through the SVFD, Seabrook Police Department, Clear Lake CLEMC and Emergency Management by providing complete public safety preparedness, which promotes prevention and protection.
