Walter A. “Buddy” Hammann was elected to At-Large Position 5 in May 2018. He is a graduate of LSU and has been a resident of Seabrook since 1987. Buddy is semi-retired from a lifelong career in Human Resources Management and Consulting. He has been active in the community and City for more than twenty-five years having previously been involved in youth sports, served on City Council, Chaired the City’s Ethics and Planning and Zoning Commissions. His two sons grew up in Seabrook, attended Bay Elementary, Seabrook Intermediate and graduated from Clear Lake High School. His oldest, Walter IV is a Detective with the League City Police Department and youngest, Brandon, is a Civil Engineer in Austin. Buddy’s wife Barbara is an active volunteer with the Evelyn Meador Library. His hobbies include photography, gardening, fishing and exploring lakes and bayous in his homemade pirogue.
