8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Bayside Park on Main Street
Participation
Kids' Fish participants must be in grades Pre-K through 5th.
Guidelines
- This is a KID event and should be FUN.
- Adults may cast the line for the kids; however, the child MUST fish and reel in the catch by themselves.
- This is a catch-and-release event. NO fish will be kept during the fishing tournament.
- Bait will be provided.
- NO RUNNING along the sidewalk or across the street.
- Participants may fish on either side of the street.
- Only one pole per child will be allowed.
- Bring the catch to the measuring station located in the middle of Main Street.
- The fish will be judged solely on length (1st, 2nd, 3rd will be given to Boys and Girls).
- There will be only ONE Unique Fish winner and will be judged separately.
- Each kid can only win ONE prize. For example, the same kid cannot win 1st place AND Unique.
- Kids must be present to receive their prize.
- A fish must be caught & on the way to the measuring station when the final horn blows, signaling the end of the tournament.
- No beer or alcohol.
- No fishing from the kayak launch (will be closed).
- Have Fun and Good Luck!
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for the longest fish to boys and girls, and the most unique fish.
- 1st Place: $100 gift card
- 2nd Place: $50 gift card
- 3rd Place: $25 gift card
- Most Unique Fish: $100 gift card
Parking
Parking is available in the city parking lot behind the Merlion Thai Restaurant. For this event, we ask that all participants avoid parking on the street.
Registration
Online registration will be available from August 10, 2026, through noon on Friday, September 11, 2026.
In-person registration will be available at the event for anyone who did not register online.
We are currently seeking donations and sponsorships to help make this year's tournament a success.
Your support can make a lasting impact on local youth by helping us provide:
- Monetary support to sponsor a portion of the event, such as awards or t-shirts.
- Prizes or giveaways, such as gift cards or branded gear.
- Fishing rods, tackle boxes, or starter kits for young participants.

All donations are tax-deductible, and sponsors who respond by August 26, 2025, will be recognized on our event banner. We are also offering tiered sponsorship levels to highlight your support at various levels.
