[ARCHIVED] Business Anniversary

Seabrook, TX – The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) proudly recognized Jenuine Treasures as part of its Business Anniversary Program Initiative, which honors local businesses reaching significant milestones. Jenuine Treasures recently celebrated five years of providing the Seabrook community with a unique craft boutique experience. The celebration took place on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the boutique located at 902 Hardesty Ave.

During the event, SEDC officially recognized this achievement by presenting Jenuine Treasures with a Certificate of Appreciation for its contributions to the local economy and its commitment to fostering small business growth.

Founded in 2019 by Jennifer Pitts, Jenuine Treasures was created from a lifelong passion for crafting. What began as a single handmade gift quickly evolved into a thriving business, providing local artisans with a platform to showcase their work. “Jenuine Treasures is strong because of its vendors and their belief in the boutique,” said Pitts. “Together, we have faced challenges and grown, and I’m proud to be part of Seabrook’s vibrant small business community.”

Jenuine Treasures is a craft boutique home to over twenty local crafters and small business owners. The store offers a unique shopping experience where visitors can explore a constantly evolving selection of handcrafted goods. In addition to retail, Jenuine Treasures hosts monthly craft markets, workshops, and after-hours events, fostering creativity and community engagement.

As the only retail shop in Old Seabrook, Jenuine Treasures has played a crucial role in revitalizing the area. “When customers visit us, they are not just supporting one business—they are also supporting multiple local artisans,” Pitts explained. “Each visit is a unique experience with fresh products and creative finds.”

To commemorate this milestone, Jenuine Treasures is hosting a special drawing for a gift basket filled with vendor products through Saturday, March 8, 2025. Furthermore, the boutique’s first market of the year will occur on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., launching its monthly second Saturday market series for 2025.

As she looks to the future, Pitts envisions ongoing growth for both the boutique and its markets. “We want to be the first small business people think of when looking for unique gifts, fashion, and décor,” she stated. “Our success is thanks to our supporters, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.”
