One Deceased Following Bicycle-Ambulance Collision in Seabrook
Seabrook, Texas - At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Seabrook Police Department responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of E. Meyer Avenue and State Highway 146 involving an electric bicycle and a Seabrook EMS ambulance.
Independent witnesses confirmed the Seabrook EMS ambulance, traveling eastbound on E. Meyer Avenue, entered the intersection on a green light. At the same time, a bicyclist riding an electric bicycle was traveling southbound on the SH 146 northbound frontage road sidewalk and failed to stop at the red light. The bicyclist struck the left side of the ambulance.
The bicyclist, a white male whose identity remains unknown at this time, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Nassau Bay EMS to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. No injuries were reported by Seabrook EMS personnel.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and is investigating. All inquiries related to the crash investigation should be directed to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
