[ARCHIVED] Update on Tookie’s Hamburgers

Update on Tookie’s Hamburgers and Proposed Return to Seabrook

The Seabrook Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) recently extended a significant economic development incentive to support the potential return of Tookie’s Hamburgers—a long-time local favorite.

While the SEDC was enthusiastic about the opportunity, the restaurant’s owner has respectfully declined the offer. The decision was based on challenges related to the scale and logistics of relocating operations at this time.

Although we are unable to welcome Tookie’s back right now, there is still hope for the future. The original property, located at the corner of State Highway 146 and Main Street in Seabrook, remains under Tookie’s ownership. This connection leaves open the possibility that the iconic restaurant may one day return to its original home.

The SEDC and the City of Seabrook remain committed to supporting local businesses and creating opportunities for sustainable economic growth. We thank the business community for its ongoing engagement and partnership.
