The City of Seabrook has collected this month’s revenue from the State Comptroller’s Office. The total amount of revenue received was $216,345.79.
This month’s figure reflects an 16.07% increase or a $29,959.35 increase from July 2011.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2011-2012 is down 3.11% or a $69,479.07 decrease from last year’s total at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales revenue is $2,166,683.71.
Seabrook’s sales tax is broken up into three funds; General Fund (51%), Economic Development Corporation (25%) and the Crime Control District (24%). The June revenue breakdown is as follows:
General Fund - $109,325.41
Economic Development Corporation Fund - $54,662.70
Crime Control District Fund - $52,357.68
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; July collection is based on May sales.
