The City of Seabrook has collected this month’s revenue from the State Comptroller’s Office. The total amount of revenue received was $227,514.58.
This month’s figure reflects an 11.25% decrease or a $28,840.00 decrease from September 2011.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2011-2012 is down 3.27% or a $90,461.39 decrease from last year’s total at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales revenue is $2,676,577.05.
Seabrook’s sales tax is broken up into three funds; General Fund (51%), Economic Development Corporation (25%) and the Crime Control District (24%). The June revenue breakdown is as follows:
General Fund - $115,959.44
Economic Development Corporation Fund - $53,575.42
Crime Control District Fund - $57,979.72
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; September collection is based on July sales.
